Job Summary
The CapStone Services Supervisor leads a multidisciplinary team of Automation Specialists/Robotics and Field Service Engineers who are responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of automation systems and robotics at client sites. This role combines technical oversight with people leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members; conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and skills development plans.
  • Maintain and manage schedules for Field Service Engineers and Automation Specialists/Robotics to ensure balanced workload and project alignment.
  • Build shift and travel schedules; manage capacity across projects and preventive maintenance
  • Onboard new team members and ensure compliance with company standards, safety procedures, and documentation practices.
  • Promote a safety-first culture, lead incident reviews and corrective actions.
  • Oversee administrative processes, including timesheet approvals, expense reviews, and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage disciplinary actions in alignment with HR guidelines.
  • Oversee field and automation work from mobilization through closeout: scope validation, site readiness, installation, commissioning, SAT/FAT, and handover.
  • Ensure disciplined execution using standardized methods, test protocols, and acceptance criteria.
  • Remove roadblocks for crews; escalate issues; coordinate with Project Managers and for schedule adherence and change control.
  • Review service tickets/work orders; approve parts, labor, and travel; ensure accurate time and materials capture.
  • Ensure all required documentation (as-built drawings, service reports, commissioning checklists) is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Act as site lead for key accounts; communicate proactively on schedule, risks, and recovery plans.
  • Partner with Sales/PM to scope service proposals, T&M estimates and change orders; participate in customer reviews and post-mortems.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain/Parts for spares and critical components to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce LOTO, machine guarding, electrical safety (NFPA 70E), fall protection, and site-specific rules.
  • Ensure technicians maintain required certifications and PPE; conduct toolbox talks and safety audits.
  • Document incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions and lessons learned.
  • Meet or exceed targets for utilization, and schedule adherence
  • Validate labor/expense approvals; contribute to forecast accuracy and backlog health.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • 2-3 years of experience other people
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage a dynamic schedule and forecast 3 months out
  • Work independently at specifics tasks and as a member of a team on larger tasks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.
